Jess Strait

Global Advocacy Manager

As Global Advocacy Manager, Jess oversees student & youth programs, manages volunteer engagement strategy for local menstrual product distributions and grassroots advocacy, and supports the expansion of the Period Positive Workplace initiative. Her role is centered on growing US-focused advocacy efforts including menstrual health research and grey literature development. She represents Days for Girls both on the National Coalition to End Period Poverty and as the secretariat for the US Menstrual Health Disaster Response Working Group.

Jess became involved with Days for Girls in 2018 as a student volunteer. She holds a B.S. in Data Sciences with Honors from Penn State, where her thesis focused on period stigma among college students.

In her free time, Jess travels as a digital nomad, practices yoga, and enjoys cooking shows.
