Exciting Holiday Announcement: Light the World with Days for Girls!

This holiday season, Days for Girls International is honored to participate in the Light the World Giving Machine initiative, a unique opportunity to bring menstrual health resources to women and girls globally.

Sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Giving Machines are a creative and impactful way for communities to support local and international causes, offering everyone the chance to “light the world” through small acts of generosity that have profound effects. Essentially, it is a unique vending machine that allows people to donate to nonprofit causes in a simple and tangible way. For example, instead of purchasing snacks or drinks, users can select an item representing a specific need – such as food, clothing, medical supplies, or education – and 100% of their donation will go directly to support that cause.

This year, you have the chance to expand DfG’s work by purchasing a DfG washable menstrual pad Kit for a school girl, a refugee, or a new mother. You could even sponsor a menstrual health education session for 50 women or girls. Each choice directly impacts lives, providing not just physical supplies, but also education and dignity – a step that brings the world closer to gender equality.

This inspiring initiative will be hosted across 108 cities globally and includes opportunities to give online, enabling people everywhere to support charities in meaningful ways. Be sure to check back soon for specific locations and dates so you can find a Giving Machine near you and participate in this joyful effort.
