Days for Girls Kenya

At Days for Girls Kenya (DfGK) we envision a world where periods are never a problem. We work to eliminate the stigma and limitations associated with menstruation so that women and girls have improved health, education, and livelihoods. By removing menstrual-related barriers, we empower women and girls to pursue opportunities and achieve their goals. We are turning periods into pathways.

What We Do

Together, we envision a world with dignity, health, and opportunity for all.

Training for Social Entrepreneurs

Our locally-led programs train social entrepreneurs to be change agents within their own communities. We currently support 23 locally-owned and operated Social Enterprises.

Advocacy

Our advocacy program supports local leaders with the tools and resources necessary to advance campaigns that promote menstrual equity, and reduce shame and stigma. We also work at the country and district level on advocacy for menstrual equity.

Menstrual Products

Our Social Enterprises locally produce and sell DfG washable, long-lasting menstrual pads. We have reached over 200,000+ women and girls, and counting.

Health Education

Trained, certified, Kenyan educators provide updated and factual menstrual health education with every distribution of DfG Kits.
